Abstract

Several systems have been designed and implemented in the world for solvency assessment of insurance companies until now. Because of their different methodologies, these systems have strengths and weaknesses. In this paper, we compare Iranian solvency assessment systems using AHP methodology based on criteria identified in the literature. The results of assessments based on eleven selected criteria indicate that Iranian solvency systems do not have any advantages over other systems.
